What is your Cancellation / Refund Policy?
1. To reserve your RENTAL UNIT, Operator agrees to pay a $200 non-refundable booking deposit charged on his/hers credit card to confirm their reservation.
2. Operator agrees that there are NO REFUNDS on reservation deposits, but if there should be a cancellation the Operator can use his/her reservation deposit and reschedule the RENTAL UNIT at later date (receive in-store credit) and is valid for
3. Operator agrees to pay the remaining balance owing if he/she CANCELS the reservation 2 WEEKS or less than the scheduled date. The Operators credit card will automatically be charged the remaining owning balance.
4. Operator agrees that if weather adversely affects the ability to utilize the RENTAL UNIT, Backcountry Rentals Ltd. is under NO obligation to issue a refund or discount
How old do you have to be to ride?
You need to be 25 or older with a valid drivers license to rent the equipment. Renters take full responsibility for the equipment they rent and who they let ride.
I don’t want to go out of my way. Can you deliver ATVs to me?
Yes we can. Call for more info.
What size of tow ball and light adapter plug do I need?
You will need a 2" ball to tow any of our rental equipment. The 4-pin light adapter is needed to provide lights to the trailer. We do have light adapters available to rent, if needed.
Do you include trailer rental in your prices?
Our trailer rental is not included in the price, however its only $29 for the single ATV trailer, and $39 for double ATV trailer
Do you provide safety equipment such as helmets and goggles?
Yes, all rentals include necessary safety gear (helmet, goggles)
What do I need to rent an ATV?
We require a valid credit card, valid driver license and a 25 year old renter to sign our rental agreement.
Do you require a reservation deposit?
We have a reservation non-refundable deposit starting at $200.00. This insures that your rental period is booked and waiting for you. This charge will be used against your total rental fee and is not an additional cost.
What is a damage deposit?
We require all customers to leave a $3000.00 dollar damage deposit/ credit card pre-authorization. When the final inspection is complete the deposit will be refunded.
What are some of the common reasons damage deposits are kept?
1. Renter rolls ATV. Causing damage to plastic fenders and handle bars, etc.
2. Renter runs over a large rock
3. Excessive wear and tear. Treat our equipment like your own and we will not keep your deposit. In general, we understand that things can and do happen. But as business owners we dont want to see our equipment brake down.
We require Credit Card pre-autorization of $3000.00. this is not a charge, just a pre-auth on a credit card. If there is no damage done to rented vehicles, there is absolutely no charge.
Can I take rented vehicles to USA?
No, all rented equipment and riding gear must stay within the Canada
Do I need a driver’s license to ride?
No motor vehicle license required for designated, off-road areas. However for safety reasons we require our renters to have Valid Drivers license to rent.
What kind of terrain should I expect in the riding areas?
If you have never been off-roading in the mountains of British Columbia, it is a unique experience. British Columbia offers thousands of miles of trails and endless hours of enjoyment. The trails range from easy FSR trails for beginners to technical areas for the most advanced rider. Some trails include steep climbs and plenty of whoops. With any trail, you can expect to see breath-taking views. You can ride through canyons built by mountain runoff, or mud holes along the routes.
What time do I pick up and drop off the rental equipment?
You may pick up the rental equipment as early as 8:00 am on the first day of your rental period. Everything must be returned by 6:00 pm on the final day of your rental period to avoid paying late fees. It may be possible to pick up your rental equipment the night before, call 604 227 2869 for availability.
